If Blueberry Pediatricians suspect a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), they will order urine culture labs. These labs provide conclusive results within 24 hours, which are then used to guide treatment. Blueberry Pediatrics offers up to 90% discounts for these labs to make them more accessible.
Important: Use a Quest Lab, Not a Third-Party Lab
When getting lab work done, you must visit a Quest Diagnostics location and not a third-party lab that partners with Quest. If you go to a third-party lab, you will be charged their full-service fees, which will be higher than what you would pay through our partnership with Quest. Additionally, we are unable to reimburse these charges if you choose a non-Quest location.
Note on UTI Strips:
While we do not accept UTI strips as a diagnostic tool, our doctors will consider their results when creating a treatment plan. However, to ensure the highest quality of care, a urine culture is necessary. This culture identifies the presence of a UTI and the specific bacteria causing it. UTI dipstick tests are only preliminary—they may suggest a problem, but they can also show false positives even when no UTI is present, as confirmed by culture results.
