Struggling to connect your wireless otoscope to your phone or seeing a black screen when it does connect? Don’t worry, we’ve got solutions!
*Important*
Ensure your otoscope is connected via Wi-Fi, as it creates its own network. Do not attempt to connect through Bluetooth, as the otoscope does not pair via Bluetooth. If you’re trying to connect through Bluetooth, this might be the reason for the connection issues.
iPhone Users:
1. Ensure your otoscope is fully charged for 15-20 minutes using only the manufacturer-provided charger. Avoid charging it for longer or overnight, as this may cause damage.
2. Uninstall the Otoscope app.
3. Check for software updates on your iPhone by going to Settings > General > Software Update and installing any available updates.
4. Reboot your iPhone.
5. After rebooting, re-install the Otoscope app from this link.
6. Disconnect your phone from all other Wi-Fi and cellular networks.
7. Launch the Otoscope app and follow the in-app instructions to connect your device.
8. If your device fails to connect, open your settings and scroll through your list of apps until you find the Blueberry Ear Scope app. Toggle on the Local Network option, as shown in the image below, and relaunch the app to attempt connecting again. If it still doesn’t connect, ensure your phone is disconnected from all other Wi-Fi and cellular networks, and retry the process.
